Ensemble Selected for NASA’s $475M Innovation Services Contract

We’re excited to announce that Ensemble has been awarded a contract as part of NASA’s third iteration of the Open Innovation Services (NOIS) program. This round includes 25 awardees selected to support NASA’s efforts to engage the public in solving complex challenges through crowdsourcing and open innovation. Managed by NASA’s Center of Excellence for Collaborative Innovation (CoECI) at Johnson Space Center, the NOIS3 contract enables federal agencies to rapidly tap into global communities to develop novel solutions in areas such as space exploration and advanced technologies through crowdsourcing efforts. The NOIS3 Contract has a total value of $475 million over 10 years, with the base period spanning through 2027 and options for extension to carry the work out until 2035.

Director of Strategy and Product, Oliver Gerland, had this to say about the recent award:

“This NOIS3 contract is a launchpad for future innovation. At Ensemble, we’re not just providing standard government services; we’re delivering new, custom solutions and innovative approaches to help the Government stay at the forefront of digital and AI trends. We’re incredibly excited to continue our collaboration with NASA’s CoECI team, empowering them to push the boundaries of science and technology through prize challenges, digital transformations, and strategic staffing services. We aim to be a best value vendor to NASA while delivering new solutions to the Government’s varied challenges.”

As a NOIS3 contract awardee, Ensemble will continue to design and implement challenge-based programs and digital products that connect government agencies with entrepreneurs, researchers, and the general public. Building on our track record supporting NASA, DOE, NSF, and HHS, we’re honored to continue to support NASA’s Center of Excellence for Collaborative Innovation (CoECI) in finding solutions to meet the needs of federal agencies. This contract represents an exciting opportunity to support NASA and other agencies working at the forefront of science and innovation.
